I sent you a second e-mail with a second library as well. It was one given to me. It only list the books, no authors, as this was the pastors own way of keeping his records. It is a note file so should also open easily. It contains about 2500 books and CDs.

PLEASE NOTE: these books are mostly not Reformed as the Pastor became Reformed just shortly before his retirement, but they make good research books.

In reply to:
[color:"blue"]John MacArthur is Baptist, but he calls his church Community Church (unless fredman knows something I don't know about!)

(Fred) yes, MacArthur is baptist. Not in the SBC/denominational way, but GCC is baptistic. John would also hold to the doctrines of Grace, and is always growing in the knowledge of the truth as a pastor and a theologian, even though he would not be "Reformed" in the Presbyterian/Classic sense of the word.

Fred

I would love a copy of that spreadsheet as well. I'm doing my best to build a robust library and the information would indeed be most helpful.

Drs. J. I. Packer and F. Nigel Lee should be included in your list, together with Ian Murray. Dr. John Piper and John Piper (Baptist) are the same person. And I don't think the Fineberg's names have 2 "g"'s. Some are in the list twice e.g. Sinclair Ferguson. And since you are including worthies from former ages I add D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones and William Cunningham.

Tp
I stand corrected in that I did not know he was ordained IFCA.

I was looking up some more info about him, and I ran across some sites claiming he did not believe in the eternal Sonship of Christ, but I also saw MacArthur's reaction to that, which I appreciated very much. Also, someone wrote that MacArthur is a "heretic" for believing Lordship Salvation. What, and easy-believism is the Gospel? I don't think so. Also, one site mentioned that MacArthur said it was not the physical blood but the death of Christ that saved us. Otherwise, Christ would only had to bleed but not die. Interesting point. I look forward to thinking about that more when I get a chance to read my copy of The Death of Death in the Death of Christ.

True godliness is a sincere feeling which loves God as Father as much as it fears and reverences Him as Lord, embraces His righteousness, and dreads offending Him worse than death~ Calvin
