Quoting from someone, “ I always thought that Adam fell when he ate the forbidden fruit. However, after a discussion this past week with a brother whom I greatly respect, I have come to believe that Adam fell BEFORE he actually ate.
This brother pointed out that one first sins in their mind before it manifests in actions. He is absolutely correct in saying that.
Adam was created in knowledge, righteousness, and holiness. There is no way he would have eaten the forbidden fruit if he did not first fall by sinning in his thinking.”

I always thought Adam fell when he actually ate the fruit, thus disobeying God’s command not to eat it, not when he thought about eating it. Am I correct?
