Delivered said: Once more Kyle. I am not saying that He(God) will save everyone, the scriptures do not say this. I am saying that all will get the opportunity to hear and of all those hearing the predestined will accept and those who are not wont.
How will this opportunity arise when they have not gotten the opportunity to hear the gospel in their own language, or the opportunity to read the Bible in their language. We all agree of the Bible's importance to the Christian walk. All of the elect (those predestined) will certainly hear, but there's nothing in Scripture to the effect that all men will actually hear the true Gospel preached. No doubt some men have never heard it, yet they are still accountable for their sin. I could say also that your idea, that, God cannot and will not speak to anyone audibly now is placing him in a box also but I do not think it is your intention to do this as it is not my intention. We disagree on this point and we can leave it at that. You were the one who first accused me of "limiting God." I have only all along been arguing from the Scripture. It's not that God is unable to speak audibly to anyone today, it's that it is completely unnecessary and unpromised. We have His Word in Scripture, period. I do not believe that the scriptures say that the Holy Spirit has stopped communicating to men directly. In the instance of the voice being heard telling of God's Will audible to the hearer only, this to me is evidence that the Holy Spirit still speaks to men whether by strong impression or a voice (I believe). Why don't you show from Scripture that this is the case, rather than relying on an argument from silence? I know that you did not quote from the King James version, and I know that he never did the actual work himself. This is the version that I have and I know that many new versions exist. At my church both the King James version, and the New International Version is used. These new Bibles are expensive and many opt to stay with the version that they feel more confortable reading.
I said King James version to make the point. It was a silly point and completely unrelated to what I actually said.
Kyle
I tell you, this man went down to his house justified.
