Thank you for all the brothers who have responded regarding this festival of the "Christ-mass" so much appreciated. I have the book by Ralph Woodrow called "Babylon Mystery Religion, ancient and modern, which is much clearer than the Two babylons. I suppose we can go on and on. However, as Pilgrim has rightly said, if we do not want to sin, we must do what our God-given conscience tells us to do. Regarding traditions, isn't there a scripture which says that God hates the traditions of men? Sorry I cannot recall it just now.

I do think that the event must be really BIG in the USA. Here, all the christians I know well, do not celebrate it, and it costs to be separate from the crowd. But surely, that is what we are supposed to be. One dear Pastor, many years ago now, used to love having a tree in the church for the children at this time, but once when visiting us, he prayed for God to forgive him bringing strange fire into the building! My very first Pastor, sadly in a pentecostal church, used to close the church at this time of year, because he had been over to the USA and seen the truth of it all!
So what are we left with, Pilgrim has given us much to think about, and not many seem to be in agreement with us here, yet we hope that we have all learned something we did not know before.
All the glory to God. Love from English Rose
