Here's an argument from the lesser to the greater:

Matthew 5:27-28 (ASV) "Ye have heard that it was said, Thou shalt not commit adultery: but I say unto you, that every one that looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart."

Since it is a sin to have lustful thoughts toward the opposite sex, how much more is it sinful to have lustful thoughts toward someone of the same sex, which God has deemed an abomination?
