My church is an SBC church. They don't support "Founders" they support "Sovereign Grace Ministries" in their links. They believe in the "Open but Curious" position. A very dangerous position. They don't operate charismatically but I might have to find a new church because of their position on this issue. Its a good church but if this pastor leaves who knows what they will be. The O.P.C down the street might become my home.

I am aware that Calvinism is more than just the 5 points. However, most believe that if one holds to the 5 points then they are Calvinist.

Hmmmmm, another one of your unofficial polls shows that "most" believe 5 Points = Calvinism? Calvinists don't believe that.... so WHO makes up these "most"?

And since when is the definition of "Calvinism" determined by what a bunch of people with self-interest opinions believe? Isn't this unfortunately typical? There are always those who want to alter the definition of a group, system, etc., in order that THEY are included even though they oppose what that group actually believes, practices, or whatever. Of course, some current examples are those in the NPP and FV groups who insist that they are "Reformed/Calvinist" and even hold to the Westminster Standards, but who want to re-interpret those standards so that their heresy is approved.

"Reformed/Calvinist Charismagic" is an oxymoron..... PERIOD!! Deal with it.

In His grace,
