The evidence for concluding he was Greek and not of Jewish origin is cumulative, as Hendriksen points out: 1) cf. Col. 4:14 cp. with vss. 10 and 11. 2) the Greek language of the Preface of Luke 1:1-4. 3) the voice of tradition.
