I'm still not sure what to make of it??? Any insights??

The mercy of God is necessary not only when a person repents, but even to lead him to repent, Augustine

They say some good things. But by and large not very useful, IMO. At a time when so few people understand what it means to be Reformed, I think it's unhelpful to have a movement of "Reformed Catholicism" which actively seeks to draw certain elements from Roman Catholicism.

Yes, but if there is any chance that Christ was not lying when He said "Upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it", the question is: Should any reformation take place WITHIN or OUTSIDE the Catholic Church?

Reformation should take place within any church that needs reforming. Certainly the Catholic church needs reformation. Having previously rejected reformation and excomunicated all those who sought to reform her, Rome forced the Reformers to continue the Reformation outside the Roman church - yet within the Christian faith, the larger church.

The Roman Church expelled the Reformation, so not much chance of doing it within. But when Jesus says that the gates of hell will not prevail against His Church, he's referring to the universal Church of all who believe in Him, not the Roman institution that devilishly appropriates the name "Catholic" for itself alone.
