Who are those called "the wicked" in the Bible?
Are they "any" unregenerates, or are they an especially wicked group of sinners?
A sampling of verses regarding "the wicked" are as follows:

Ps 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
Ps 7:11 God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.
Ps 10:2 The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.
Ps 11:2 For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.
Ps 32:10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.
Ps 71:4 Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
Ps 73:3 For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

The wicked in the verses you listed seem to be the reprobate.

The reason I raise the question is that, not everybody who is unregenerate and unsaved is cruel and murderous as some of the verses in the Old Testament describe them to be. I personally get frustrated with those who I consider to be especially wicked.
For example, the other night, my son and I were enjoying a great game of tennis on a public court, when a carload of youths drove by and screamed out several expletives at us. We were not bothering them, or for that matter, even paying any attention to them, and yet they felt the need to call us several vulgar names. I told my son at the time that someday God will cast such wicked sinners into hell. It made me think of the many references in the Old Testatment of "the wicked."

Thanks for taking the time to give me a reply to my post. That is a good thought from Prof. Engelsma. He is setting up the wicked for destruction.
(BTW, I just tried the link, and it worked for me, but thanks for mentioning that you were having problems with it.)
