The light-bulb by the categories with new posts are showing up, and when I click on the category the thread shows up as highlighted as usual. But the number of new posts does not show up on the main index page (it shows up on each category page. Thanks!

Marie, You are sooooo perceptive. Yes, it is true that that feature is not currently operational. There was some "issue(s)" with the hosting company and I had to disable it to see if it would at least contribute to an alleged problem. They have communicated that they are now satisfied everything is fine and in a day or so, I'll probably enable that feature again. I have come to look for those numbers too. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
