Anyone reading Table Talk Devotional this month?

A friend of mine told me that as he reads through it this past week. He is noticing a few things that concern him.
He thinks it is supporting “statism”, and “Pietism” and he said it is obvious.

I am reading it and I don’t see it. I think he is reading into it something that is not there.
However, it makes me wonder if I am missing something.

Thoughts?

Tom

Tom,

All that link is for is the entire May issue of the May "Table Talk" which focus is "Love". How am I to know which of the 11 articles has an alleged leaning toward Statism and/or Pietism? Pietism isn't some anti-Christian anomaly historically. Many of the Puritans were 'Pietist" who believed that Christians are to live a holy life. Soooooooo:

1. I need specific information as to which article(s) he is referencing to support his concern.
2. Definitions that this person is using in regard to the two terms; statism and pietism.

Sorry, the information needed is in the daily devotionals.
I thought that link would have more than just articles.

Tom
