They believe that to deny this is heresy.
It is poor theology to pick & choose which parts of the OT sacramental/sacrificial system one desires to use to prove a point in regard to Christ's atonement. ALL OF IT must be regarded for ALL OF IT in total gives the proper understanding of what Christ actually accomplished on the cross. The sprinkling of blood is but one facet of the whole.

I'll state it one more time in case someone hasn't grasped the significance in what those who are castigating MacArthur are espousing.... There is NO efficacy in the physical blood of the Lord Christ. The totality of Christ's passive obedience is what made satisfaction according to the law of God.
