Truth has a way of exciting the hearts of those who are the recipients of sovereign grace... and it conversely incites the hatred of all others toward God and all those whom He has given life in Christ and the mind of the Spirit. Their unanimous, unbridled cacophony is, "We will NOT have this 'man' rule over us!". The majority of professing Christians will allow God to be sovereign in power, but not in authority. That 'right' they think is theirs according to their will and not His.  Thanks for the quote from Spurgeon.
