I don't know what these gizmos are called, but they are in various places, such as at the top of the user list. What is their function and proper designation? [Linked Image]

Also, is there a specific reason why "smilies" don't copy when one copies text for a quote in another post?

Thanks.

"Gizmos"? [Linked Image] ehem.... well, I can only guess that you are referring to the little arrows that appear beside a word, which designates that the List you are looking is arranged according to the heading category, e.g., "Username". They are "hot links" (cf. FAQ). Looking at the User's List, if you were to click on any of the headings there, e.g., "Registered on", the list of users will be rearranged according to the date each person registered on the Board, putting the earliest registered first. If you were to click it again, the list will be arranged according to the last registered first. This ability to arrange the list can be done with each heading (column) according to that category.

The reason that "Smileys" don't copy/paste is because they are images stored in a special directory on the server for use in the Board when you use the Markup language in a message (cf. FAQ) for a list of available Smileys. Of course, some of us have our own "secret" stash of Smileys that we use, just to bring on severe consternation to others when we get in a comical frame of mind. Rod,

Glad I could be of some service and help to ya all! [Linked Image] I would suspect there are yet some features and options that are yet to be discovered by many here. And I also suspect, that before they are all found and the smiles have faded from their faces, the new version will be implemented, which has far more fabulous amenities to glean.

Of course, MSIE users will benefit far more than Netscape users. Technically, aren't those "arrows" in reality "arrowheads," having no shaft? Howze that for being picky? [Linked Image]

Also, aren't we 'scrapers frustrating ourselves if we use 'sploder? It would mean we couldn't kill decorative backgrounds as effectively. [Linked Image]

More features??? Remember, some of us have heart conditions. We can't stand too much excitement!
Well, broder you win some and you lose some. Without question, MSIE 4+ and newer has a distinct advantage as it recognizes and displays far more HTML code and other "goodies" than Netscape 4.x; although NN 6.0 has made up some ground, but with some "bugs" added in the mix. Different strokes for different folks! [Linked Image]

So, when the new version makes its debut, some of us MSIE users will be fishin' and you "others" will be eatin' the bait!
