R. Albert Mohler Jr. has been in a blogosphere debate over theistic evolution in recent months, arguing that an affirmation of evolution is incompatible with not only Genesis 1-2 but with the entire Bible.

The "Baptist Press" published a very informative article on this ongoing debate yesterday, Jan 26,2011.

You can access it here: Mohler at center of debate over evolution & the Bible

It will interesting to see if there is any follow-up to this.
Did you ever read/listen to how Albert Mohler became President of SBTS?
In spite of the fact that going in for nomination process, he was an underdog at the seminary dominated by Arminians. When the board read his answers to all the questions they asked, they were so impressed that they had to short list him. He was also quite frank as to what his vision was for the seminary was and it wasn't very flattering for anyone who leaned either liberal or Arminian.
After he was elected, huge protests happened among many students and faculty. In fact some of the protests were in front of his own home and were directed against his family members.
The seminary lost a couple of thousand students because of his election; he also fired some prominent faculty.
At the age of 33, he not only became the seminary’s youngest president ever, but he went through huge hurtles simply because he would not compromise what he believed God called him to do.
Since then, the seminary not only gained many students, but the seminary has returned almost entirely to its Reformed roots.
If you or anyone else is interested in hearing more about this story I believe this story can be found on the net.
