The Sound of Freedom
By now most people have heard about the movie ‘The Sound of Freedom’.
This movie is causing quite a bit of controversy and apparently from what I have heard, media is not covering this. Yet despite this, I am hearing that more than 2 million have watched it. This is a movie that is being pushed by Mel Gibson and because of that I have been sceptical about this particular movie. However, when I talk to Reformed friends who were not fans of ‘The Passion of the Christ’, they all say after researching the ‘Sound of Freedom’. They believe it is a much needed movie, that because of the nature of the subject. Almost everyone should not only watch it. But be aware of the child slavery that is happening in the world today.
I am trying to form an educated opinion about it for myself. I just watched video about the movie ‘The Sound of Freedom’. It names a few names from Hollywood that are somehow involved in the child slavery such as Dwaine the Rock Johnson and Opra. Johnson says that none of these allegations are true about him and he is willing to fight these allegations and do whatever it takes to clear his name. In case you do not know, Johnson is one of the biggest names in the acting business. Hollywood apparently are up in arms concerning the movie. I have no idea what could happen concerning this.
Any thoughts on this movie, or the subject matter is welcome.

We are looking forward to seeing the movie. I read that Elon Musk is considering streaming it on "X" (formerly Twitter). Gibson's past movie productions are irrelevant to this movie. Hope if you do get to see it for yourself, you will come to your own conclusions.
I have read things regarding Oprah's school in Africa. IF they are true, then the truth deserves to be exposed. The trouble with hearsay and unconfirmed information is that it may or may not be true and if not, then it is no more than slander.

Thanks, when and if it comes to a theatre near me, I will be watching it.
One thing as I mentioned, is the fact that big Hollywood actors are implicated. It should be interesting to find out what if anything happens if actors like Dwain Johnson pour their time and money against what the movie says.

The left seems to support child trafficking. Think about how they have created such porous borders in our south. They do not care. The illegal immigrants are the new slave class. All the more reason to watch the movie but I sincerely doubt that it will be coming to a theater near you. There is a big resistance to the movie and showings are limited. Yet despite that, the movie is making a lot of money. Hoping Elon Musk follows through with streaming on "X".

A friend of mine said that at the moment, you need to go into Washington to view the movie. So, you are probably correct about it not coming to a theatre near me.
You’re example of the left is a good one. Yet, there are a lot of people, whom I would not call “left”, who remain ignorant, mainly because their source of information comes from the left media.

I saw the movie and it is well done. I highly recommend it.
Since that time; perhaps I should not be shocked about this. However, I am hearing a fair amount of negative feedback.
As most who know about the movie, it is crowd funded. Unfortunately, one person (Fabian Marta) who gave money was recently arrested for child kidnapping. That is being used by the movie’s critics to say the movie just “sensationalizes a problem everybody already knew existed.” They say when we buy tickets for this movie, we are supporting a guy who kidnaps children.
Others are saying it is 100% fiction, for “RW Conservative Christians with a hero complex.” Considering the fact, this movie is not a “religious movie”, with just a couple of references to God in it. It is sad to hear such comments.
The fact many are trying to silence the movie’s message is very telling in our society.

I do not and never will (D.v.) allow the world, whether woke, religious, et al to influence my convictions nor my lifestyle which I strive to base upon biblical ethics, morals and cosmology on the whole. In short, I couldn't care less what some woke moron or "Reformed" alleged Christian thinks about a movie, in particular, "The Sound of Silence". IF the movie, which seems to be based upon facts, concerning human/child trafficking and seeks to expose the horror of its practice throughout the world, then I would not be persuaded to not view it nor promote it. If someone has scruples against it, then that person need not view it. IF on the other hand a movie, book, etc. promotes that which is evil, blashpemous, vulgar, etc., then likewise a person has the right to now view it nor promote it. Let each man decide what is good and profitable and act accordingly, whether to rejoice in it or shirk in disgust against God's truth. Pilgrim Well put! Like you, I will not allow the world, whether woke, religious, et al to influence my convictions nor my lifestyle which I strive to base upon biblical ethics, morals and cosmology on the whole. I made my last post, mainly to show how many are reacting to the movie. I only have one Christian friend that refuses to watch it, not because the message of the movie is not good. Rather, he is skeptical of anything that comes out of the movie industry. When I told him, that this movie is hated in Hollywood for the most part and that it took over 5 years for it to finally be released to the theatres, mainly because of the nature of the movie. He was still very skeptical. Tom
