Briefly, CT sees a degree of continuity between the OC and the NC, to establish God’s eternal kingdom through the plan of redemption. The 'covenant of redemption' (Eph 1:4-7,11; 1 Pet 1:19-20, etc) is what undergirds the covenant of grace in CT. There are several threads here at the Highway.

NCT is a phrase that individuals use to recognize the belief that the dispensation in the NT has a distinctively new character to it. Some equated it to being a compromise between DT and CT. In principle, they hold that Christ has actually changed God's laws— Here are some articles on CT and NCT. The Highway has this article which is excellent : Eschatological Fulfillment and the Confirmation of Mosaic Law by Greg Welty. Please note that this can be a very volatile issue.
