Hopeful

You have raised a very controversial subject.

It is my humble opinion (though may other Baptists disagree with me) that every person whether they are adults, babies or handicapped are saved in the same manner, by grace through faith.
I find no exception to this in Scripture; though I do see passages that one may speculate exceptions.

Babies and some handicapped people may not be able to show their faith, but does that really mean that they don't have faith?

Perhaps I will say more later, but right now I am getting ready for Church.
