1) That wouldn't seem to address what John is calling the "sin unto death," for John writes not to pray for those who sin the sin unto death. If unbelief is the sin unto death, then the conclusion would be that we shouldn't pray for unbelievers. You don't think that's the case, do you?

2) John 3:16 doesn't say that Christ died for each & every person who ever lived. Furthermore, if He had, then each & every person who ever lived would, in fact, be saved. If everyone is already forgiven of all their sins, why would unbelief prevent them from being saved?
