The slogan for the 46th General Assembly of the EPC was “Better Together,” with many fervent appeals for peace and unity. And yet, the Assembly voted to approve the ordination of celibate homosexuals — an action that threatens to divide the denomination.
By a majority of 57 to 43 percent, the Assembly voted to approve a Pastoral Letter presented by the Ad Interim Committee on Same-Sex Attraction. While the letter did not endorse gay marriage or homosexual behavior, it opened the door to ordain those who struggle with same-sex attraction as long as they are celibate, repentant, and seeking to mortify their sin.

Last week the ARP voted to break ties with the EPC over their willingness to ordain women and promote "charismatic" gifts. Another Presbyterian denomination losing it's way.

The ordaining of women and promoting charismatic gifts has been evident in the EPC for many years. What took the ARP so long to make this decision I wonder?

Regarding the EPC, I read where two-thirds of their Presbyteries have to approve the ordination. Plus they have not addressed the Greg Johnson question.
The OPC and PCA are the only two Reformed denominations not allowing ordination of women. That is if we do not count the CREC (Wilson's) denomination as being Reformed.

There are others, e.g., The United Reformed Congregations (URC), Associated Reformed Presbyterian Church (ARP), Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America (RPCNA), Free Church of Scotland (FCS), most all Continental Reformed Churches, e.g., Free Reformed Church (FRC), Protestant Reformed Church (PRC), et al.

I thought I read where the RPCNA does ordain women deacons, as with the ARP.

I thought I read where the RPCNA does ordain women deacons, as with the ARP. There are 2 'synods' in the RPCNA; The Covenanter Synod (conservative) and The Evangelical Synod (less conservative). My guess is that the latter is probably the one that does ordain women and the former does not.
