Every Lord's day we pass a church that has "stupid church signs" this week the sign read-
"READ THE BIBLE IT WILL SCARE THE HECK OUT OF YOU"
We will be writing a letter, any serious suggestions?

You might want to suggest that if they are going to display public signs that they at least spell the words used correctly? The word "heck" is misspelled and should be "Hell". <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/evilgrin.gif" alt="" />

Most of the time these signs are uncalled for. Though some do pull it off. I have to give it up to the EO church in our neighborhood. Their sign always says:

"Lord, have mercy upon me a sinner!"

That one is not THAT bad, although it might be more appropriate at a 'scary' time, such as Halloween. I.e. casual folks like to get scared at that time of the year (scary movies, haunted houses, etc.). Such a sign could potentially make sense at such a time.

At least this is better than the local Unitarian church which always has anti-Christian signs, such as their annual Christmas season sign "ANY night a child is born is a holy night".

I wonder what the Unitarians would say about a night in which a child is aborted! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bash.gif" alt="" />

After a kindly written letter the stupid church sign has been changed to [color:"0000FF"]"READ THE BIBLE, PLEASE"[/color]
